{"id":18563,"date":"2018-12-21T09:17:17","date_gmt":"2018-12-21T14:17:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.campbell.edu\/?page_id=18563"},"modified":"2025-12-03T13:17:03","modified_gmt":"2025-12-03T18:17:03","slug":"leads-rlc","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.campbell.edu\/life\/residence-life\/residence-halls-apartments\/residential-learning-communities\/leads-rlc\/","title":{"rendered":"LEADS Residential Learning Community"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <\/span><b>Leadership Experience through Academic Development and Service Residential Learning Community<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (LEADS RLC) brings together students to share in a fun and engaging exploration of leadership through service and personal development. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Members of this community will live together in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.campbell.edu\/life\/residence-life\/residence-halls-apartments\/small-hall\/\">Small Hall<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and participate in a course exploring the principles of leadership. Through this experience, they will learn to develop individual and group leadership skills to positively impact their communities.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Join our community<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The LEADS RLC is an opportunity for a select group of first-year students to live and study together learning about leadership as a purposeful, collaborative, and values-based in a supportive community creating positive change. Members of this community will work together to identify their own leadership abilities, enhance their brand and presence, and learn to think critically about leadership in action. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Opportunities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Live with peers \u00a0interested in the topic of leadership in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.campbell.edu\/life\/residence-life\/residence-halls-apartments\/small-hall\/\">Small Hall<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.campbell.edu\/life\/residence-life\/residence-halls-apartments\/bob-barker-hall-apartmentssuites\/\">.<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Develop relationships with fellow students, a Community Assistant, and an RLC Advisor.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Work on a spring semester service project together to address a need in the community. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Reflect on how their educational experience prepares them for a wise, honorable, and cultivated life in any vocation they chose. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Activities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Community service project<\/li>\n<li>Social events<\/li>\n<li>Monthly meals and semester one-on-ones with your Faculty Fellow<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Requirements<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The LEADs Community is only open to first-year students. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2>How to apply<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>When applying for housing, you will fill out your Housing Application.
