P. Russ, Jr. and Walter S. Jones, Sr. Alumni Award for Research Excellence <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">through the Provost\u2019s Office:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The D. P. Russ, Jr. and Walter S. Jones, Sr. Alumni Award for Research represents the highest faculty commendation within the University. This award aims to give all faculty members a chance to recognize the good work of their fellow colleagues.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recipients receive a commemorative trophy and a $500 prize. They are also featured in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.campbell.edu\/university-communications\/publications\/accolades\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Accolades<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, an annual publication highlighting the noteworthy achievements of University faculty.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nominations<\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Campbell University Research Committee is now accepting nominations for the <strong>D. P. Russ, Jr. and Walter S. Jones, Sr. Alumni Award for Research Excellence.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nominations are open to all full-time faculty members at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Any faculty member may nominate any other full-time faculty member, whether that person resides in one\u2019s own department or another. <strong>Nominations are confidential.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Submission Requirements<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nominations should be emailed directly to the Faculty Research Committee chair at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:facultyresearch@campbell.edu\">facultyresearch@campbell.edu<\/a>. \u00a0The <strong>letter of nomination <\/strong>(not to exceed 3 pages) should highlight recent accomplishments and innovations, the record of outstanding achievement and the impact of the nominee\u2019s research.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Each letter should include the nominee\u2019s name, rank, department\/academic unit, and years at Campbell.<\/li>\n<li>Include how you know the candidate, for how long, and in what capacity.<\/li>\n<li>Highlight major accomplishments, publications, or activities that commend this individual. Please contextualize those accomplishments and the impact to the discipline to help provide perspective to those outside the field.<\/li>\n<li>Emphasize how scholarly activity completed while at Campbell has contributed to the University and the field of research.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nomination submissions close on<strong> February 1<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nominees will then be asked by the committee to submit the following by <strong>February 15<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Biography (200 words or less)<\/li>\n<li>Curriculum Vitae<\/li>\n<li>Statement of Research Excellence (max. of 3 pages)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Past Recipients<\/h2>\n<h4>The D.
