In addendum to his busy liaison schedule, he\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">coordinates all print resource purchasing for Wiggins Memorial Library and oversees the serials department for the library.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Epps demonstrates the Campbell spirit and serves as a friendly face that offers guidance and direction to Campbell students both on-campus and on line with his many video tutorials, guides, and his work with our incoming freshman classes. Students and faculty alike seek his guidance and knowledge, his work\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">with library instruction keeps him busy as he actively engaged 35 classes with more than 560 students in the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">past academic year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Epps&#8217;s commitment to student success and research support is clear by the generous words expressed by faculty and students. Campus faculty note that his enthusiasm and knowledge in library instruction\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">mixed with his witty humor provides the students with encouragement and knowledge they need to\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">succeed. Students request his assistance at the reference desk by name as they know he will guide them to the tools and resources they need. As they leave the desk, Epps calls out to students a cheer of\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Happy Researching!&#8221;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In his commitment to collaboration and teamwork, Epps is willing to take on additional roles in the library. He participates in several teams in the library assisting with library outreach, marketing\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and collection development.\u00a0 Epps is the voice of the library on Facebook and the creative energy\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">behind many library projects.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Epps holds a Master of Library Science from the University of North Carolina. at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Science degree in History from Virginia Tech. He and his family reside in Durham, North Carolina.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is with great appreciation that Campbell University Libraries recognize Ron Epps for his outstanding efforts and dedicated service to the Campbell community.
