Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine&#8217;s 2020 Dean&#8217;s Award for Teaching Excellence.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Green joined CUSOM in 2018 as an Associate Professor of Anatomy following seven years at Midwestern University (2011-2018) where he taught in the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, College of Dental Medicine and College of Optometry.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">He graduated with BA degrees in both Biological Anthropology and Anatomy and Economics from Duke University in 2003 and received his PhD in Hominid Paleobiology from the George Washington University in 2010 where he stayed to complete his postdoctoral research at the Center for the Advanced Study of Hominid Paleobiology from 2010-2011.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Upon joining CUSOM in 2018, Green\u2019s talent and passion for medical education quickly became apparent to students and faculty.\u00a0 He is a gifted educator whose impact goes beyond just teaching course material; he truly cares about the students, their learning, their challenges and their wellbeing.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It is not surprising that the feedback from students he has taught in the DO, MSBS, and CPHS PA and DPT programs has been exceptional.\u00a0 He is one of a very few faculty members who earned almost perfect scores across all domains assessed by student responses on post-course assessments. Students frequently praise his kind and caring personality, enthusiasm, approachability, use of humor and ability to keep students engaged as among many of the reasons he is such a successful and cherished teacher.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Green\u2019s genuine and holistic approach to student education, the exceptional outcomes he has achieved, and the positive impacts he has on students and their learning are just a few of the many reasons I am happy to recognize him with CUSOM\u2019s 2020 Dean&#8217;s Award for Teaching Excellence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>Dr. Jim Powers<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Interim Dean and Chief Academic Officer<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dean&#8217;s Award | School of Osteopathic Medicine Award for Teaching Excellence Dr. David Green\u00a0 It is a great pleasure to&hellip;
