A meal plan is required of all main campus undergraduate students living in residence halls. A student\u2019s meal plan correlates with their class standing. Serving as Campbell University\u2019s food service provider, Aramark is experienced in meeting the needs of students who have food allergies or health conditions that require dietary adjustments. Ingredient and allergen information for food served in Gaylord’s Kitchen is available via the daily menus<\/a> posted online. Our executive chef serves as the primary contact for dietary needs requests and can be found at Gaylord\u2019s Kitchen in the Student Union and is available to meet with students Monday-Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and can also be reached by phone and email. <\/span><\/span>\u00a0Alexander Blanco, our general manager, can also assist. Their contact information is available on the Dining Services page<\/a>. We are committed to making our meal plans and dining halls accessible for all students and will be happy to meet with students or families to discuss specific needs.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Requesting Accommodations<\/strong><\/p>\n

Students who wish to request accommodations to their required meal plan do so through the following process:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Meet with Disability Services staff to discuss their experiences and needs. This can be done by video chat or in person. Request an appointment<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Meet with Aramark staff to discuss options to meet the student’s needs on their meal plan. Staff will tour students through the dining options that meet their needs, such as avoiding specific foods. Students are not required to share diagnosis information with dining staff, but should be prepared to share a list of foods or ingredients they must avoid or prioritize. If the student’s needs are met, the process can stop here. If not, continue with the steps below.<\/li>\n
  3. Request a accommodation by completing the Meal Plan Accommodation Request<\/a> form.\u00a0<\/li>\n
  4. Submit a letter from an appropriate provider (doctor, counselor, <\/span><\/span>etc.<\/span><\/span>) to Disability Services supporting this request<\/span>. The letter must include your diagnosis and describe how it impacts your dining needs. This letter is not released beyond the Disability Services office without your knowledge.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Meet with Disability Services staff to discuss possible accommodations and select a meal plan, if applicable.\u00a0Request an appointment<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  6. If accommodations are approved, they will be shared only as needed to make the change to the student’s account. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Meal plan accommodations must be renewed each year. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    If students are not satisfied with the decision of the Office of Disability Services they can appeal this decision using the Grievance Policy found in the Student DSS Guide<\/a>. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    Meal plan changes that are related to religious observances or any other non-health related reason should be directed to Dr. Faithe Beam, Vice President for Student Life and Christian Mission.\u00a0<\/p>\n
