Includes full-tuition scholarship, monthly subsistence allowance, and funds for textbooks.<\/li>\n<li>Traditionally a four-year program, however it can be completed in just two years.<\/li>\n<li>Reserves or National Guard soldiers may be able to complete the ROTC program in two years while you serve with your unit.<\/li>\n<li>You&#8217;ll be commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant the day you graduate and with the potential to earn the civilian equivalency of $68,000 within your first four years on active duty.<\/li>\n<li>Receive a monthly stipend (tax-free) 0f $420.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How To Join<\/h2>\n<h4>Qualifications for the Basic Course<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Be a full-time student at Campbell University, UNC Pembroke, Methodist University, or Fayetteville State University;<\/li>\n<li>Not be a Conscientious Objector;<\/li>\n<li>Be of Good Moral Character;<\/li>\n<li>Not have any Tattoos specifically prohibited by Army policy;<\/li>\n<li>Be a U.S. Citizen; and<\/li>\n<li>Be in good physical condition.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Qualifications for the Advanced Course<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Meet all of the previous requirements to enter the Basic Course.<\/li>\n<li>Not have any civil convictions, adverse adjudications, or court martial convictions other than minor traffic violations less than $250. Not have more than three dependents.<\/li>\n<li>Never have used drugs; or be a self-admitted limited\/experimental user of drugs who has not used within six months of contracting.<\/li>\n<li>Sign a loyalty oath.<\/li>\n<li>If prior service, have an honorable discharge from the Armed Services with a qualifying RE code of 1 on DD Form 214.<\/li>\n<li>Meet one of the following criteria: have credit for Military Science 100 and 200 level courses, complete Cadet Command\u2019s Cadet Initial Entry Training (CIET), or complete Basic Training in one of the Armed Forces.<\/li>\n<li>Have a college GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.<\/li>\n<li>Score at least 180 points with 60 points in each event on a single Army Physical Fitness Test.<\/li>\n<li>Successfully pass a Department of Defense Medical Evaluation Review Board (DODMERB) physical. The most common non-waiver disqualifiers during this physical are: documented asthma after the age of 13; ADD\/ADHD, depression treatment, or academic skills disorders within the past 12 months; ulcerative colitis, Crohn\u2019s disease, Scoliosis curvature of the spine in excess of 30 degrees, or prior service with a permanent profile.<\/li>\n<li>Be younger than the age of 30 at time of commissioning; a waiver is possible.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Recruitment Officer for the Campbell ROTC program is: James Salanitro.
