The Neurodiversity community includes diagnoses of ADHD and autism spectrum disorder (ASD), among others. The MINDS RLC is dedicated to bringing together neurodiverse students to foster a safe and comfortable living environment while receiving additional support to succeed academically.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Members of this community will live together in Bob Barker Hall and participate in supporting neurodiverse-affirming support and activities. Through this experience, they have the opportunity to develop individual and group skills to positively impact their academics as well as support flourishing and belonging.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Join our community<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>The MINDS RLC is housed in Bob Barker Hall and offers a unique opportunity for a select group of first-year students to live and study together as a purposeful, collaborative, and supportive community. Members of this community will work together to identify their strengths, enhance their academic skills, and develop their own unique ways of thriving at Campbell University.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This RLC coordinates closely with Disability Services through Faculty Fellow Will Grenhart and the Dean of Student Well-Being to help ensure all members receive effective accommodations and compassionate support.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Opportunities<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Individual bedrooms with shared bathrooms and living space.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Supported transition to campus, including early move-in.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Community Covenant to support individual needs of all roommates, such as agreements around noise, lights, hours, bathroom schedules.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Community programs focused on college success for neurodiverse students.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Opportunities to connect with upper-level neurodivergent student mentors.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Activities<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Shared community meals \u2013 weekly or more.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Mentoring from upper-level neurodivergent students.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Coaching with Disability Services staff.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Special roles assisting in residence hall events.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Requirements<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>Identify as neurodivergent, which can include people with Autism and ADHD, and interested in living in community with others who identify similarly.
