{"id":5566,"date":"2017-01-01T19:17:14","date_gmt":"2017-01-02T00:17:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.campbell.edu\/?page_id=5566"},"modified":"2025-03-21T17:37:19","modified_gmt":"2025-03-21T21:37:19","slug":"outside-scholarship-checks","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.campbell.edu\/bursars-office\/payments\/outside-scholarship-checks\/","title":{"rendered":"Outside Scholarship Checks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Outside scholarships are any funds from churches, schools, businesses, and community and other organizations.\u00a0 Outside scholarship checks should be made payable to Campbell University and processed directly to the Bursar&#8217;s Office with the following information included on a separate cover sheet on the donor&#8217;s official letterhead.\u00a0 Failure to include the below information may result in processing delays.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Student&#8217;s Name and Campbell University ID number<\/li>\n<li>Indication of which term the check is to be applied (fall, spring, or split evenly between semesters, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Amount of check and check number<\/li>\n<li>Donor&#8217;s name, address, contact name, phone number, and the email address<\/li>\n<li>In the event that a student withdraws, Campbell University will return any unused outside scholarship funds to the donor.<\/li>\n<li>In lieu of an official letter, print the Campbell University Outside Scholarship Form and Instructions linked below.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a class=\"button  button--theme-orange\" href=\"https:\/\/assets.campbell.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Campbell-University-Outside-Scholarship-Form.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Outside Scholarship Form<\/a> <a class=\"button button--ghost button--theme-orange\" href=\"https:\/\/assets.campbell.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Outside_Scholarships_Info.docx.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">View Instructions<\/a><\/p>\n<h4>\u00a0<\/h4>\n<h4>Instructions for Donors<\/h4>\n<p>Donors of outside scholarships should make checks payable to Campbell University and mail them to the address below with the above information included.\u00a0 Donors may choose to apply funds to a single semester only or split the funds evenly between the fall and spring semesters.\u00a0 If the donor does not specify how to distribute the scholarship, the funds will be split evenly between the fall and spring semesters by default.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mail to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Campbell University<br \/>\nBursar&#8217;s Office<br \/>\nAttn: Outside Scholarships<br \/>\nP.O. Box 97<br \/>\nBuies Creek, NC 27506<\/p>\n<h5>\u00a0<\/h5>\n<h4>Instructions for Students<\/h4>\n<p>I<span style=\"font-size: 1.125rem;\">f <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1.125rem;\">an outside scholarship donor sends or delivers a check to the student, the check should be either mailed or brought to the Campbell University Bursar&#8217;s Office for further processing.\u00a0 The check will be deposited by a University Cashier who will then notify the Office of Financial Aid so that the scholarship can be added to the student&#8217;s aid awards.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Physical Address:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Campbell University Bursar&#8217;s Office<br \/>\nMcLeod Admissions &amp; Financial Aid Building &#8211; 2nd Floor<br \/>\n40 T.T.
