{"id":6291,"date":"2017-01-05T10:17:17","date_gmt":"2017-01-05T15:17:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.campbell.edu\/?page_id=6291"},"modified":"2024-10-11T12:22:52","modified_gmt":"2024-10-11T16:22:52","slug":"green-gold-program","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.campbell.edu\/rotc\/recruitment\/green-gold-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Green to Gold Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/armyrotc.army.mil\/green-to-gold\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Army Green to Gold Program<\/a> provides Enlisted Soldiers an opportunity to pursue a commission as an Army Officers.\u00a0Soldiers can work toward either a baccalaureate or graduate degree while participating in the ROTC leadership program.\u00a0Green to Gold options are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Green to Gold Scholarship Option <\/strong>\u2013 Selected Soldiers will leave active-duty status to attend college. This can be a two, three, or four-year program. The Army will provide full tuition and fees or room and board (capped at $10,000), $600 per semester for books, and a monthly stipend ($420).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Green to Gold Active Duty Option<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Selected Soldiers will remain on Active Duty and be reassigned to the university location.\u00a0The soldier must be able to complete their degree requirements in two years. \u00a0Soldiers will retain their current pay and allowances while completing their last two years of school.\u00a0The Soldier is responsible for paying for the cost of attending school (tuition, fees, &amp; books); most Soldiers elect to use their GI benefits to cover the cost of school.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Green to Gold Non-Scholarship Option<\/strong> \u2013 Qualified Soldiers will leave active-duty status to attend college.\u00a0The soldier must be able to complete their degree requirements in two years.\u00a0The Army will provide a monthly stipend ($420). Once it is completed the soldier must\u00a0give the examination to the local\u00a0ROTC representative (physical must be approved by DODMERB prior to acceptance and discharge).<\/li>\n<li>Should be
