{"id":6800,"date":"2017-01-05T23:36:15","date_gmt":"2017-01-06T04:36:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.campbell.edu\/?page_id=6800"},"modified":"2025-03-14T22:45:49","modified_gmt":"2025-03-15T02:45:49","slug":"frequently-asked-questions","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.campbell.edu\/faculty-staff\/human-resources\/about-human-resources\/frequently-asked-questions\/","title":{"rendered":"Frequently Asked Questions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>When will I become eligible for benefits?<br \/>\n<\/strong>All full-time employees (minimum 30 hours per week) are eligible to begin health\u00a0benefits on the first day of the first month following the hire date, unless the hire date is the first day\u00a0of the month.\u00a0 All other voluntary benefits begin after probationary period.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When would payroll deductions begin for any elected coverage?<br \/>\n<\/strong>All payroll deductions will be taken out in the employee&#8217;s first check of the month following an election.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can I enroll later if I don&#8217;t take all coverage now?<br \/>\n<\/strong>You may choose to take coverage within the first 30 days of employment, after which you cannot make changes in coverage\u00a0until open enrollment each year unless you have a qualifying event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Are there penalties if I enroll my dependents later?<br \/>\n<\/strong>Yes. Cafeteria plan: Section 125 guidelines govern entrance and exit options into and out of a flex plan. Premiums for changes may not be pre-taxable based on these rules.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If my employment terminates what coverage can I continue?<br \/>\n<\/strong>COBRA regulations will allow you to continue coverage for medical and dental for you and your dependents. You will be notified of your options to continue your coverage\u00a0by certified\u00a0mail from the Benefits Coordinator.\u00a0 The voluntary products are portable based on the contract regulations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When will I become eligible for benefits?
